March 2021 YA Book Releases

It’s March and that means a couple of things. Firstly, it means we’ve been in lockdown for a year. We’ve been socially distancing for a year and although it’s sucks, it’s for the greater good. But it’s also for the better (I think?) when it comes to your tbr – mine, at least. March may be a turning point with spring just around the corner. So without further a do, here are my favorite March 2021 YA Book Releases!

1. Rule of Wolves (King of Scars #2) by Leigh Bardugo

Release date: March 30th, 2021
Publisher: Orion Children’s Books
GRISHA! Do I need to say more? Come on guys – we’re all part of this amazing hype. I first started reading the Grisha books way back in… 2015? Not sure why I never fisnihed reading the series, but this year in January I reread the first two books and read the third book. My goal for April is to read the Six of Crows series and then the King of Scars series. I am ready and I am here for it! Read more…

2. Chain of Iron (The Last Hours #2) by Cassandra Clare

Release date: March 2nd, 2021
Publisher: Walker Books
Talking about very popular hyped series that will be continued in March 2021… Cassandra Clare is here for it. She writes books faster than I can read them, and somehow, she keeps her readers interested throughout all her books. She’s such a talented storyteller. Although I have to be honest, I quit halfway through the Shadowhunters books (oops – time for a reread!). But this makes me so so excited. And I mean: this book is thicccc (search for #chainofiron in Instagram and find out). I am excited! Read more…

3. Firekeeper’s Daughter by Angeline Boulley

Release date: March 16th, 2021
Publisher: Henry Holt and Co.
This book is one that I never heard of before, but was shared with me via Goodreads newsletter in which the author was interviewed about her book. But what first set this book out from the crowd is the beautiful cover. I just LOVE it. Whoever designed this cover, needs a raise. Eighteen-year-old Daunis Fontaine straddles two worlds: her Native one and her white one. Her life changes after she witnesses a murder and goes undercover to seek justice and help keep her loved ones safe.  I am already excited about this! Read more…

4. Infinity Reaper (Infinity Cycle #2) by Aden Silvera

Release date: March 2nd, 2021
Publisher: Quill Tree Books
Continuing the list of authors that have written tons of books and are super popular: Adam Silvera. Following up to his popular Infinity Son that released in January 2020, this book will tell you about what happens to Emil and Brighton Rey after everything that happened in the first book. This book again promises a lot of fighting, a lot of excitement but also… a lot of blood. Yes. The battle for peace is playing out like an intricate game of chess, and as the pieces on the board move into place, Emil starts to realize that he may have been competing against the wrong enemy all along. Read more…

5. Bone Crier’s Dawn (Bone Grace #2) by Kathryn Purdie

Release date: March 30th, 2021
Publisher: Katherine Tegen Books
The last book of the list is also, no suprise here, a book that is part of a series. This author may not be as famous as the authors mentioned above, but she might be if she keeps writing as she does. This book is the sequel to Bone Crier’s Moon and love is a matter of life and death. The Crier’s Dawn is the pulse-pounding follow-up to Bone Crier’s Moon: a story of love, sisterhood, and determination as three friends find the courage and power to shatter the boundary between the living and the dead. Sound so good and I should really start reading this series! Read more…
