Hi guys, summer is almost over, and most of us are going back to school. I am doing an traineeship at Harper Collins Holland. But now comes the question: what are we going to read when we are going back to the real life? Well, I have some good news. September brings tons of good books that you can read to distract you from homework and other chores. Excited? I am!
I made a list of the books that I am looking forward to the most. If you have additional books, just comment down below to let others know what you are looking forward to the most!
1. The Fever Code (The Maze Runner #0.6) – James Dasher
Release Date: September 27th
Publishers: Delacorte Press
This book is at the top of my list, because I LOVED The Maze Runner series so much! It is exciting, it has these realistic yet dystopian characteristics and will keep you at the top of your seat. James Dasher also isn’t afraid to kill off his characters, he told me once in an interview. In this book, we will find out what happened BEFORE The Maze Runner. We will get more insight on WICKED, the plague and everything else that let to the well known horrible events of the maze. Am I excited? Hell yes! Read more…
2. Frost Like Night (Snow Like Ashes #3) – Sara Raasch
Release Date: September 20th
Publishers: Balzer + Bray
Snow Like Ashes, Ice Like Fire… does this sound familiar to you? I think it does. So honestly, I have started on Snow Like Ashes, ages ago. I think I have a digital copy lying around somewhere. I got it because I received an e-ARC of Ice Like Fire, but never got the chance to read it (sadly because I always read my e-ARCs). BUT what I read, was intense! And in September you will get the chance to read the finale to this amazing series! Read more…
3. Crooked Kingdom (Six of Crows #2) – Leigh Bardugo
Release Date: September 27th
Publishers: Henry Holt and Co.
Leigh Bardugo is such an amazing author and person. I met her last year and it was such a blast! Her books are super exciting, full of magic and very imaginative, which make her books for amazing reads. We know her from the Grisha, but Six of Crows was released last year, set in the world of the Grisha, but with different characters. In September we will be able to read what happens next, and I am really looking forward to this book! Read more…
4. Empire of Storms (Throne of Glass #5) – S.J. Maas
Release Date: September 6th
Publishers: Bloomsbury USA Children
Wow, S.J. Maas is an author everybody seems to be talking about nowadays. Her books are hot. I’ve read A Court of Thorns and Roses and A Court of Mist and Fury, but I never started on her Throne of Glass series. Everybody seems to by very excited about this series, so it will be no surprise that this book is on my list this moth. The wait is almost over, in less than 2 weeks we will be able to continue reading this exciting series! Read more…
5. As I Descended – Robin Talley
Release Date: September 6th
Publishers: HarperTeen
I thought it would be good to add at least one stand alone, or one contemporary novel to my list. Turns out, this book is both! This book is about high school (yeey!!) featuring a power couple: Maria Lyon and Lily Boiten. The only thing that stands between them and their perfect future is superstar Delilah Dufrey. The story is about Maria and Lily defending themselves against Delilah. Delilah doesn’t know what’s coming from her, as Maria and Lily are willing to do anything to get where they wanna go.
