Or well sort off. It isn’t a sequel but a prequel to the “A Song Of Ice And Fire” series by George R.R. Martin, because let’s be real we’ll all be wasting away in a ditch somewhere when he finally finishes the 6th and 7th book in the series. However this new book is a book about events that happened a century before everything in “A Game of Thrones”. The book is called “A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms” (The tales of Dunk and Egg #1-3) and came out today. It’s a collection of three short stories which have been published before but are now nicely bundled up in this beautifully illustrated edition.
Taking place nearly a century before the events of A Game of Thrones, A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms compiles the first three official prequel novellas to George R. R. Martin’s ongoing masterwork, A Song of Ice and Fire. These never-before-collected adventures recount an age when the Targaryen line still holds the Iron Throne, and the memory of the last dragon has not yet passed from living consciousness. (Goodreads)
Sounds pretty interesting don’t you think? Off course this is only really exciting if you’ve read the books and actually know what they are talking about, but it’s still pretty exciting. For now let us all pray that soon, very very very soon he will finally publish the last two books in the series so we all finally know how it ends. Please George keep on writing, I mean we all have to deal with deadlines (which I’m supposed to be working on right now actually lol).
