First of all, spoilers below. Second of all, if you’re just going here to see what the hype is about, let me refer you to this page where you can find a summary of what Daredevil is about and also our reviews of the first season.
It has (almost) been nine months since the premiere of Marvel’s Daredevil’s first season. We are all waiting for the second season to premiere and luckily, they aren’t leaving us in the dark until the premiere of season two. So far, a trailer has been released and several pictures have made their way onto Entertainment Weekly (you can see the photos here and view the trailer here).
The second trailer for the upcoming season has less new footage of what’s to come but does give us a sense of what to expect. There are references to the first season and we hear Matt talking. Watch the trailer below, read the new synopsis for this season and tell us if you got chills too.
“Just when Matt thinks he is bringing order back to the city, new forces are rising in Hell’s Kitchen. Now the Man Without Fear must take on a new adversary in Frank Castle and face an old flame – Elektra Natchios.
Bigger problems emerge when Frank Castle, a man looking for vengeance, is reborn as The Punisher, a man who takes justice into his own hands in Matt’s neighborhood. Meanwhile, Matt must balance his duty to his community as a lawyer and his dangerous life as the Devil of Hell’s Kitchen, facing a life-altering choice that forces him to truly understand what it means to be a hero.” [YouTube]
The season will premiere on Netflix on March 18th, 2016. While we wait for more Daredevil, we can also enjoy more action set in Hell’s Kitchen by watching Marvel’s Jessica Jones. This other Netflix show premiered on Netflix on November 20th, 2015 and is a must-watch for all Daredevil fans.
